The Planning Inspectorate

There is a huge geographical spread of employees within the Planning Inspectorate. Resulting in phone and email being the main source of communication between Inspectors and their wider teams.

It was our job to come in and show them the immense potential of Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration. 

We ran a number of training sessions on Microsoft Teams, with a focus on communicating with colleagues who are based all across the country.

During this project, we met an Inspector called Jo. She was working on a large infrastructure project and joined one of our webinars on collaboration. The following day, Jo had to attend a hearing with colleagues after which they would ordinarily go back to the office and write up their notes. Having attended our session, she was instead able to share a document with her colleagues who in turn could write their notes straight into it, in real-time, during the hearing. Delivering huge time savings to all involved.

It is scenarios exactly like this that show the brilliant potential of the technology we have at our fingertips.

We are delighted to have worked so closely with the Planning Inspectorate on helping to improve understanding of Microsoft Teams. Unlocking brand new ways of working for so many within the organisation. While delivering return on their investment into technology.
