My name is Oliviero Iurcovich. I like to define myself as a coffee-loving, Italo-Argentinian global citizen with a passion for technology in Education.
I have lived and studied in Italy, Hong Kong and Surrey as a Management student. My drive and passion directed me to one of the world’s largest organisations, Microsoft. Here, I worked with Education, Healthcare, Defence and Local Government institutions across the country, educating and increasing awareness of how to digitally transform public sector organisations with Microsoft technologies.
Fortunately enough, as well as educating I have been learning.
I have learnt how public development can take place by building innovation systems and engaging in policy experimentation, harnessing scientific and technological innovation to transform and improve human wellbeing. So, I thought the best way to keep learning was to go back to University!
I have started an MPA in Development, Technology and Innovation Policy at UCL, where I will be studying how to mobilise science, technology, engineering and policy expertise to help change the world for the better.
Back to school: sharing my own experience
In the meanwhile, I will be working with Hable. This blog is the first one of a long series where I will be sharing my personal perspectives as a Master’s student on the role that technology plays in Education.
From how to leverage technologies to increase collaboration in class, to sharing my experience in using Learning Management Systems or how to manage your time when you need to juggle work, study and personal life, I hope this will be a meaningful journey for you and myself.
Looking forward to sharing my student experiences with you all soon!
